In the months since ARC™ has hit the market, ChargeItSpot | ARC’s premier mobile device management kiosk has been honored by A’Design as a 2022 Bronze Design Award winner. The ARC design is elegant and streamlined— consisting of a Base Unit with a 17” touchscreen and simple user interface, plus one to two Expansion Units with 24 lockers each. A single touchscreen can support up to 48 lockers!

The recognition comes from A’ Design Award and Competition, one of the world’s largest and most prestigious design accolades dedicated to highlighting work that embodies exceptional design in products, services and solutions. Notable winners from previous years include Lenovo, PepsiCo and LavAzza, among many more. You can find the full list of previous award-winners here.

To create ARC’s award winning design, ChargeItSpot teamed up with Design 1st, an esteemed hardware product design firm based in Ottawa. Design 1st played an integral role in making the vision of ARC come to life with their human-centered design, solid engineering principles and rigorous testing.

ARC leverages ChargeItSpot’s expertise in mobile device storage and charging with a new platform designed to help companies track, charge and manage their enterprise fleet of mobile devices that are critical to inventory management and employee productivity. The platform ensures that only fully-charged and functional devices are dispensed to employees for their shift. It also removes damaged devices from circulation so they can be repaired or sent for return merchandise authorization (RMA) in an efficient and timely manner.

Materials used in the kiosk design were carefully considered. For example, each locker has a wide acrylic window that allows WiFi signals to pass through so devices can receive software updates while they charge. Interior perforations in the sheet metal allow for air flow to achieve desired thermal results. And the use of color and LED lighting result in an aesthetically pleasing design perfect for any client environment.

“This award validates all the thoughtful consideration and rigor that the ChargeItSpot | ARC and Design 1st teams invested during  the design process,” says Sheri Tate, Senior Vice President of Product Strategy at ChargeItSpot. “Our teams collaborated extremely well together, ideas from multiple angles to achieve the best outcome.”

In a world where enterprise mobile device management is the keystone of a successful retail operation, we look forward to expanding our platform to meet client needs and pioneering the next generation of mobile device management.
